Role Summary
National Neonatal Staffing is recruiting a full‑time Level 4 Neonatal Nurse Practitioner on behalf of Wellstar Children’s Hospital of Georgia in Augusta, GA. This role covers 7 × 24‑hour shifts per month with flexible scheduling options (12‑, or 24‑hour shifts). Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced neonatal care across the NICU and newborn service consistent with Level 4 NNP scope and hospital protocols.
- Admit, evaluate, diagnose, and manage neonates including stabilization, procedures, and evidence‑based care plans.
- Write orders, document care, and coordinate with neonatologists, nursing staff, respiratory therapy, and ancillary teams.
- Participate in deliveries, bedside procedures, and multidisciplinary rounds as needed.
- Serve as a clinical leader and mentor; support quality improvement and family‑centered care initiatives.
- Current APRN national specialty certification in neonatal nurse practitioner or equivalent.
- Master’s degree or higher in nursing or relevant advanced practice degree.
- Active or eligible state RN/APRN licensure (Georgia licensure preferred; assistance available).
- Demonstrated neonatal clinical experience at an advanced practice level; Level 4 clinical competency or equivalent preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
